This seminar is FREE for all 2011 and 2012 New Bar Admittees and $50 for all others. This seminar will provide practical advice and information to our newest members who will courageously venture out on their own to practice law. Panelists will share practical and basic information on starting a practice, such as getting started with little to no start up resources; hiring support staff and, alternatively, outsourcing when there is no support staff; mastering feasible and ethical tips on soliciting clients; networking tips and benefits; making it through the lean times; financing options for large cases; partnering with other attorneys – benefits and pitfalls; and researching on a shoestring budget. This seminar will also provide tips on how to effectively and professionally establish a paperless office. Additionally, it will address the benefits of a paperless office as well as the pitfalls to avoid. An interactive session will explore key ethics issues impacting attorneys within their practices.
